Inirekomenda ni Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman George Erwin Garcia sa COMELEC en banc na obligahin ang mga kakandidato sa May 2025 midterm elections na ipaskil sa social media ang kanilang Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE).
“In-line with the recent measures to improve the transparency and accountability of the conduct of elections of this Commission, the undersigned respectfully recommends the online publication of the Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) submitted by the candidates in the 2025 National and Local Elections and election thereafter,” sabi ni Garcia.
“This measure may form part of the e-SOCE project (electronic submission of SOCE) of the Commission,” nakasaad sa liham ni Garcia sa COMELEC en banc na may petsang Hunyo 14.
Aniya, kung papayagan ng COMELEC en banc, maaari ring i-download ng mga netizen ang SOCE ng mga kandidato.
Sinabi rin ng opisyal na hihingi ng tulong ang COMELEC sa Political, Finance and Affairs Department, Law Department, at Information Technology Department para bumalangkas ng mekanismo at polisiya sa pagbubuo ng e-SOCE.
