Hinikayat ng Caritas Philippines si Apollo Quiboloy ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), na humarap sa imbestigasyon ng Kongreso hinggil sa patung-patong na alegasyon laban sa kanya na may kinalaman umano sa pangaabuso, panghahalay at maging pagpatay ng ilang miyembro ng KOJC na kumontra sa kanyang utos.
“Human trafficking, sexual abuse, and other criminal activities, if proven true, represent a grave violation of human rights and fundamental dignity, especially impacting women, children, and other vulnerable individuals,” ayon sa official statement ng Caritas Philippines.
“The allegations against Mr. Quiboloy and the KOJC are deeply troubling,” giit ni Caritas Philippines President Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo. “Submitting himself is crucial.”
Nanawagan din si Bagaforo sa Kongreso na tiyakin ang patas na imbestigasyon para kay Quiboloy.”The integrity of the rule of law and the pursuit of justice demand that all individuals, regardless of their position or influence, are held accountable for their actions.”
“No one is above the law,” giit ng Obispo.
