Mactan-Cebu International Airport ang unang paliparan sa bansa na nabiyayaan ng akreditasyon ng Airports Council International (ACI).

Ikinatuwa ng pamunuan ng Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) matapos parangalan bilang kauna-unahang airport sa Pilipinas na makatatanggap ng “Airport Customer Experience Accreditation” mula sa Airports Council International (ACI).
Ang ACI ay mayroong 700 miyembro at ito ang nasa likod ng operasyon ng 1,950 na paliparan sa buong mundo. Umaabot sa 20 airport sa buong mundo ang nakamit ang ACI Customer Experience Level 1 habang pitong iba pang paliparan ang nabigyan ng Level 2 recognition.
Ang ACI ay isang global organization na kumikilala sa iba’t ibang paliparan sa mundo sa larangan ng management, operations at customer satisfaction.
“The Airport Customer Experience accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team at MCIA and our exceptional partnership with the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) and all the airport stakeholders. We have always placed utmost importance on providing world-class services and amenities, and this recognition is an important step to taking the right direction of our vision of becoming the world class tourism and transfer gateway in the Philippines,” ayon kay Athanasios Titonis, AIC senior executive na kumilatis sa MCIA.
