Inihayag ni Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco noong Biyernes, Enero 10, na umabot sa P760 bilyon ang kinita ng tourism sector noong 2024.
“Philippine tourism was able to garner an all-time high in visitor revenues from our international tourists at around… over 760 billion pesos,” saad ni Frasco.
“This represents over nine percent increase from our 2023 visitor revenues and a 126 percent recovery from the 600 billion visitor receipts in 2019,” saad nito.
Ayon kay Frasco, ang nasabing revenue ay nagpapakita na, “our recovery in Philippine tourism performance has already exceeded our pre-pandemic numbers.”
