Nilagdaan ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at SMC SAP & Co. Consortium ngayong Lunes, Marso 18, ang landmark concession agreement para sa rehabilitasyon at pagpapaganda ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) sa ilalim ng Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program.
“This undertaking is not just about revenues that will be remitted to treasury alone, but resources invested in the airport and in many ways, it is an investment in our future,’ pahayag ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Nauna rito, inihayag ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista na ang SMC-SAP & Company Consortium ang nanalong bidder ng P170.6-bilyong NAIA Public-Private Partnership project matapos nitong ialok sa gobyerno ang pinakamataas na bahagi ng magiging kita nito mula sa pagpapatakbo ng paliparan.
”I urge the San Miguel Corporation & Company Consortium to fulfill its commitment to this PPP project,” sabi pa ni Marcos.
