Handang tumugon ang mga opisyal ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) sa pamumuno ni Emmanuel Ledesma sa direktiba ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez na itaas ang benepisyo ng mga miyembro para mga gastusin sa private hospital wards na hindi bababa sa 50 porsiyento.
“We are one we are one with Speaker Martin when he says we have to aggressively and continuously increase the case packages of PhilHealth across the board,” sabi ni PhilHealth President at CEO Emmanuel Ledesma Jr.
Bukod sa pagtataas sa health insurance coverage, tiniyak din ni Ledesma na pagbubutihin ng Philhealth ang serbisyo nito sa mga mamamayan upang hindi sila mahirpan sa pag-avail ng health services ng kumpanya.
Kabilang din sa alok ng Philhealth and libreng physical examination para maagang madetermina kung ang pasyente ay tinamaan na ng nakamamatay na sakit tulad ng cancer upang mabigyan ng kaukulang medical attention.
Ayon naman kay Philhealth Vice President Eli Santos, handa rin ang Philhealth sa mungkahi ni Romualdez na rebishain ang charter upang mapalawak pa ang serbisyo nito, kabilang ang early cancer detection.
“We submit to the directive of our Honorable Speaker and the Committee to focus our resources in safeguarding the health of the populace,” giit ni Santos.
