The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spearheaded today, September 13, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Roxas Boulevard Promenade in Pasay City.

“The Roxas Boulevard Promenade Project is not just about creating a park; it is about creating a space where families can bond, advocate fitness, a place of recreation and leisure, and a place to breathe. This project is the first of many projects that will represent a harmonious blend of urban development and green spaces, designed to enhance the quality of life for all residents of Metropolitan Manila,” acting MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes said in his speech.
The park will host futsal area with a mini football field, artificial turf, benches, bleachers, and fences. It will also have a Wellness Plaza with jogging path/bike lane, wooden benches, and solar lamp posts.
The construction design will also include a pet-friendly area with security fences and ground cover.
Being the owner of the open space, PRA entered into an agreemeent with the MMDA in the construction of the Promenade to help in promoting urban greening in Metro Manila.
Located at the Libertad Pumping Station near EDSA corner Roxas Boulevard, the Roxas Boulevard Promenade has a total length of 800 linear meters and a width of 22 meters with an approximate development area of 17,495 square meters.
