Inihayag ni Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla na madi-discharge sa kaniyang mga kinahaharap na kaso si dating Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan upang maging state witness kaugnay ng multi-billion peso flood control scam.
“We already have a signed agreement for the cooperation of former Sec. Manuel Bonoan to be a state witness. We will discharge him as respondent so he can testify for us as state witness,” ani Remulla.
Ayon kay Remulla, mayroon nang pirmadong kasunduan para sa kooperasyon ni Bonoan bilang state witness at naghain na umano ng mosyon ang ahensiya upang alisin si Bonoan bilang respondent upang tumestigo sa mga imbestigasyon at paglilitis kaugnay ng naturang maanomalyang mga proyekto.
“The knowledge that he has about the whole institution is something very important for us to prove many cases,” paliwanag pa ni Remulla.
