Paolo Ortega V na makapagbabahagi ng mas malalim na impormasyon si dating Deputy Ombudsman Melchor Arthur Carandang kaugnay sa mga alegasyon ng “unexplained wealth” ni Vice President Sara Duterte batay sa kanyang Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).
Nakatuon ang mga alegasyon sa impeachment complaint ni Atty. Nathaniel Cabrera, na isa si Ortega sa mga endorser, sa SALN ni VP Sara.
Ayon kay Ortega, direkta umanong sangkot si Carandang sa mga “high-level investigation” na nangailangan ng pagsusuri sa mga bank transaction record, kabilang ang mga dokumentong nagmula sa Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).
“In connection with the financial transactions of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and accounts reportedly linked to members of his family, including VP Sara,” sabi niya nitong Linggo, Marso 8.
