Nagtatag ang Department of Agriculture ng tatlo pang Kadiwa centers sa Metro Manila upang magtinda ng ₱29 na bigas para sa mga maralita at iba pang piling sektor ng lipunan.
“We continue to learn from this large-scale trial, particularly on the demand for low-priced rice, amount and source of supply, and the logistics needed to sustain this program and expand it across the country, especially in areas outside Metro Manila where vulnerable households are numerous,” ayon kay DA Assistant Secretary Genevieve Guevarra.
Sinumulan ng nakaraang weekend ang pagtitinda ng ₱29 per kilo na bigas sa mga senior citizen, may mga kapansanan, solo parents at mga kasapi 4Ps program sa 10 Kadiwa sites sa Metro Manila at San Jose del Monte City sa Bulacan.
Sinabi rin ni Guevarra mayroon nang Kadiwa sites sa Malabon, Navotas, at Nangka, Marikina na nagbebenta ng ₱29/k bigas.
“President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wants to make sure this program will benefit the most number of Filipinos for the longest time possible,” dagdag ni Guevarra.
