Tatlong araw bago ang dapat sana’y pagdaraos ng event sa Sabado, Hulyo 6, biglang nag-anunsiyo ang mga Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP) ang pag-postpone ng “We Protect Our Sovereignty (WPS) Pinas Atin ito Unity Ride” kung saan libu-libong riders mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa ang inaasahang makikibahagi.
“We sincerely apologize for the unexpected changes to our schedule. The unity ride will still take place, but it has been postponed to a later date,” ayon sa anunsiyo ng event organizer.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause, rest assured, we are working diligently to secure a new date that will allow us to come together in unity for this important cause and when we have that time, we are expecting the same passion and interest from all of you,” ayon sa statement ng CRSAFP na ipinost sa social media ngayong Huwebes, Hulyo 4.
Bagamat hindi sinabing dahilan ang mga organizer, tiniyak naman ng mga motorcycle clubs na tanggap nila ang naging desisyon na ipagpaliban ang unity ride na gaganapin sa Northern Luzon at magtatapos sa Masinloc, Zambales kung saan madalas manghimasok ang mga barko ng China Coast Guard.
Sa Bajo de Masinloc din madalas maganap ang pambu-bully ng CCG sa mga Pinoy fishermen at mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard nitong mga nakaraang panahon.
