Pirmado na ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte ang ordinansang inakda ng three-term congressman at ngayon ay si incumbent 5th District Councilor Alfred Vargas na nagsasabatas sa “free bus ride” program ng lungsod.
“I am grateful to Mayor Joy and my colleagues in the city council for approving Ordinance SP-3184, S-2023. With this ordinance, we can now guarantee the sustainability of the Q City Bus program, which our mayor pioneered and implemented to benefit thousands of Quezon City passengers every day,” mababasa sa official statement ni Councilor Alfred.
Alinsunod sa ordinansa, ipatutupad ng city traffic at transportation management department ng pamahalaang lungsod ang programa, na paglalaanan na ng taunang budget ng City Council.
