Gagamitin na ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang mga camera ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) para matiketan ang mga pasaway na motorista sa National Capital Region (NCR).
“The cameras installed by the MMDA are being used to monitor traffic situations especially in major thoroughfares in Metro Manila. We might as well use them in order to run after erring motorists who would openly defy traffic safety rules,” sabi ni LTO chief Atty. Vigor Mendoza II.
Ayon kay LTO chief Atty. Vigor Mendoza, ang mga recorded videos ang pagbabasehan ng pag-isyu ng show cause order laban sa mga pasaway na motorist ana maaaktuhang lumalabag sa batas trapiko.
Ito ay base sa direktiba ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista sa LTO na paigtingin ang operasyon laban sa mga pasaway na motorista at mapangalagaan ang kaligtasan ng mga road users.
“These captured videos that will be transmitted to our office will be used as the basis of SCO that would be issued to erring motorists,” ayon kay Mendoza.
