Nagsimula na ngayong Biyernes, Enero 12, ang voter registration period para sa 2025 national at local elections (NLE), sinabi ng Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Maaaring pumunta ang mga Eligible Pilipino sa office of the election officer (OEO) o satellite registration sites sa kanilang mga lugar upang magparehistro para bumoto mula Lunes hanggang Sabado, kabilang ang mga holiday, mula 8 a.m. hanggang 5 p.m. Ang voter registration ay tatagal hanggang Setyembre 30, 2024.
Sususpindihin ang pagpaparehistro mula Marso 28 hanggang Marso 30, 2024, para sa pagdiriwang ng Semana Santa.
Para magparehistro, dapat kumpletuhin ng mga nagparehistro ang isang kopya ng application form na makukuha sa EOE at sa website ng Comelec.
Ang mga nagparehistro ay dapat ding magpakita ng isa sa mga sumusunod na government-issued identification card (ID) na may pirma:
- National Identification (ID) card under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys);
•Postal ID card; - PWD ID card;
- Student’s ID card or library card, signed by the school authority;
- Senior Citizen’s ID card;
- Land Transportation Office (LTO) Driver’s License/Student Permit;
- National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance;
- Philippine Passport;
- Social Security System (SSS)/Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) or other Unified Multi-Purpose ID card;
- Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID card;
- License issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC);
- Certificate of Confirmation issued by the National Commission on
- Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in case of members of ICCs or IPs;
- Barangay Identification/ Certification with photo; or
- Any other government-issued valid ID.
“Bawal na po ang company IDs. Hindi na po natin papayagan ang company ID, dapat po government-issued lamang ang pupwede magparehistro. Ang dami nakita na umabuso. Alam ninyo naman, pwede mag-mass produce ng napakadaming company ID… Di na papayagan ‘yung ganiyan,” sabi ni Comelec Chairperson George Garcia.
Samantala, ang mga person with disability (PWDs), senior citizens (SCs), miyembro ng Indigenous People (IPs) o Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs), at Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) ay maaari ding i-update ang kanilang record gamit ang supplementary data form.
Sinabi ng Comelec na ang mga sumusunod na uri ng aplikasyon ay maaaring ihain online hanggang Setyembre 7, 2024:
- Reactivation only;
- Reactivation with transfer of registration WITHIN the same city / municipality / district, OR with correction of entries;
- Reactivation with transfer of registration WITHIN the same city / municipality/ district, AND with correction of entries; and
- Reactivation with updating of records of SCs and PWDs
