Pang-77 ang Pilipinas sa 81 bansang sinuri ng 2022 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) pagdating sa math, reading at science sa mga estudyanteng edad 15, ang pangalawang beses na halos mangulelat ang bansa sa parehong global assessment rankings.
Ang mean score ay nagpakita na ang mga estudyanteng Pinoy ay nakakuha ng 356 puntos sa science, 347 sa reading, at 355 sa mathematics.
Sa PISA 2022, ang mean score para sa math sa mga bansa ng OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) ay 472 puntos, 476 sa reading at, 485 sa science.
“Average 2022 results were about the same as in 2018 in mathematics, reading and science,” saad sa resulta ng PISA.
“Over the most recent period (2018 to 2022), the gap between the highest-scoring students (10% with the highest scores) and the weakest students (10% with the lowest scores) narrowed in mathematics, while it did not change significantly in reading and science. In mathematics, low-achievers became stronger, while performance did not change significantly amongst high-achievers.”
