Sinabi ng isang opisyal ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) na 178 mula sa 11,000 ex-rebels ng Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) at Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) na nag-apply sa recruitment program ang pumasa sa recruitment process ng PNP.
Ang pagtanggap ng mga dating miyembro ng MILF at MNLF sa Pambansang Pulisya ay naaayon sa Bangsamoro Organic Law.
Ayon kay DILG Undersecretary for Operations Lord Villanueva, ang 178 PNP passers ay kasalukuyang sumasailalim sa pagsasanay ng Pambansang Pulisya na tatagal ng anim na buwan.
“It was stated (in the Bangsamoro Organic Law) that the PNP would recruit former members of the MILF and MNLF. Of the 11,000 who applied, only 178 have hurdled the recruitment process. The standards were properly observed in this process,” giit ni Villanueva.
