Kumpiyansa si National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Atty. Melvin Matibag na kaya nilang tapusin ang imbestigasyon sa diumano’y iregularidad sa ginanap na 2019 Southeast Asian Games sa susunod na tatlo hanggang apat na linggo.
“I think in three to four weeks, we can finish the investigation and file the respective charges,” pahayag ni NBI Director Atty. Melvin Matibag.
“We are intending to wrap it up in three to four weeks lang kasi malinaw naman yung ebidensya,” sabi ni Matibag sa panayam ng media ngayong Martes, Hulyo 28.
Kabilang sa mga ipinatawag ng NBI sa imbestigasyon ay mga opisyal ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISCOG) na sina Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara, chairman at president; Dexter Estactio, chief financial officer; at John Lester Binsuceso, corporate secretary.
Nakakuha na rin ang NBI ng General Information Sheet ng PHISCOG simula 2019 hanggang 2026 pati na rin ang mga financial at audited financial statement nito, ayon sa mga ulat.
