Iginiit ni retired Supreme Court (SC) justice Adolfo Azcuna ang nauna na niyang punto na napatunayan ng prosekusyon ang aniya’y “criminal intent of thre@t to k!ll” ni Vice President Sara Duterte, dahil sa testimonya ni National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Senior Agent John Mark Calilung at pagtatanong dito ni Senator-Judge Alan Peter Cayetano.
“I stand by my personal opinion and belief that the prosecution has successfully proven… the criminal intent of threat to kill on the basis of their assessment of the capability of the person threatening to carry the threat,” ani Azcuna.
“It is my understanding of case law that how the threat was received by the persons threatened, including naturally by those mandated to protect them, is one of the ways of judging the intent behind the threat,” sabi ni Azcuna.
Paglilinaw naman ni Azcuna, hindi ito nangangahulugang convicted o guilty na ang Bise Presidente.
