Ibinasura ng Sandiganbayan Sixth Division ang mosyon na inihain ni dating Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Accountant IV Lerma Cayco na humiling na mag-inhibit ang mga huwes na naglilitis sa malversation case na kanilang kinahaharap kaugnay sa multi-bilyong pisong flood control project scam dahil sa umano’y pagiging “bias” at “impartial” ang mga ito.
“We cannot allow litigants to shop for a judge more sympathetic to their cause,” ayon sa desisyon ng Sandiganbayan Sixth Division.
“A party cannot intimidate judges or strongly suggest their inhibition in order to get a favorable outcome,” nakasaad sa desisyon.
