Inanunsyo ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro sa press briefing ng Malacañang nitong Lunes, Nobyembre 17, na pormal nang tinanggap ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang resignation nina Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin at Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
“Both officials respectfully offered and tendered their resignations out of delicadeza after their departments were mentioned in allegations related to the flood control anomaly currently under investigation,” saad ni Castro.
Ayon kay Castro, nagpasa ng resignation ang dalawang opisyal matapos mabanggit ang kanilang ahensya sa mga alegasyon na may kinalaman sa flood control scam na kasalukuyang iniimbestigahan.
Itinalaga naman si Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Ralph Recto bilang bagong Executive Secretary, habang si Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Secretary Frederick Go ang pumalit kay Recto bilang bagong kalihim ng ahensya.
Samantala, itinalaga si Rolando Toledo bilang officer-in-charge ng DBM na dating undersecretary ng naturang ahensya.
