Naniniwala ang 85% ng college students sa bansa na dapat nang tanggalin sa puwesto si Vice President Sara Duterte, batay sa resulta ng survey na isinagawa ng volunteer organization na Centre for Student Initiatives (CSI) kaugnay ng impeachment trial na kinakaharap ng Bise Presidente.
Gamit ang non-probability sampling, isinagawa ng CSI ang survey nitong Pebrero 28-Marso 16, at natuklasan na 1,696 sa 2,000 survey respondents, o 84.8 porsiyento, ang sumagot ng ‘yes’ sa tanong na, “Do you believe Sara Duterte should be removed from office?”
“The survey results indicate widespread dissatisfaction among young Filipinos with Vice President Duterte’s leadership, particularly her lack of accountability and perceived dishonesty, especially concerning her office’s confidential funds,” ayon kay Maria Aquino, director for operations ng CSI.
Ang hindi maipaliwanag na paggastos ni VP Sara sa kanyang P612.5-million confidential funds noong 2022 at 2023 ay kabilang sa articles of impeachment na inendorso ng mahigit 200 kongresista sa Senado para maisalang sa paglilitis ang Bise Presidente.
Na-impeach din ng Kamara si VP Sara dahil sa pagbabanta sa buhay ni President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., graft and corruption, bribery, at iba pang high crimes.
Ang CSI ay isang youth-led, volunteer organization na sumusuporta at nagtataguyod ng solution-oriented research ng mga estudyante sa Pilipinas.
