Naglabas ang Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 159 ng show cause order noong Pebrero 12 laban kay Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy at kanyang abogado na si Israelito Torreon.
“Accordingly, Atty. Israelito Torreon and accused Apollo C. Quiboloy are directed to SHOW CAUSE within five (5) days from receipt of this Order why the aforesaid video was aired on February 9, 2025 before the Court had the opportunity to review and approve the same, and posted on SMNI News Facebook Page, without a court approval, in clear violation of the guidelines and parameters set by this Court,” ayon kay Pasig City RTC Branch 159 Judge Estacio Montesa.
Inatasan ni Montesa sina Quiboloy at Torreon na magpaliwanag tungkol sa isang pre-recorded video na inere sa isang pagtitipon ng mga KOJC members noong Pebrero 9 na walang pahintulot sa korte.
Habang nakapiit sa Pasig City Jail dahil sa kasong qualified human trafficking at sexual abuse, si Quiboloy ay tumatakbo sa pagkasenador sa May 12 elections sa ilalim ng partido ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
“Ako ay binigyan ng direksyon ng Diyos na by force of circumstance, ako ay pumasok sa larangan ng pulitika na kalooban ng Diyos na kung tayo ay pagpapalain dito, dadalhin natin ang mga prinsipyo ng kaharian,” sabi ni Quiboloy sa kanyang 20-minute video.
