Personal na pinasalamatan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang gobyerno ng Estados Unidos sa tulong na ipinagkaloob nito para sa mga biktima ng kalamidad sa Mindanao.
Ipinaabot ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos ang pasasalamat sa US government sa pamamagitan ni US Ambassador to the Philippines Marykay Loss Carlson nang magsagawa ito ng courtesy call sa Malacanang.
Sinabi ni Carlson kay Marcos na ikinagalak ng gobyerno ng Amerika ang naging papel ng dalawang C-130 military cargo plane ng Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) na nagdala ng mahigit 4,000 food packs sa mga biktima ng kalamidad sa ilang bahagi ng Mindanao.
“But when you ask and you need it we are here. Teams come from USAID, JUSMAG and our team from INDOPACOM… just how impressive your own DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) is in coordinating the relief supplies,” ayon kay Carlson.
“There’s so much that can be done more efficiently through the mechanism that exists… but sometimes you just need an extra push and it is also a good demonstration of how good the alliance can deliver,” dagdag ni Carlson.
