Apat na unibersidad sa Pilipinas ang pasok sa 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings sa Asia sa unang pagkakataon, ayon sa QS Asia noong Miyerkules, Nobyembre 8.
Ang University of San Carlos (USC) sa Cebu, Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Far Eastern University (FEU) Manila, at Mindanao State University (MSU) ay pumasok sa QS Asia rankings sa unang pagkakataon.
Nasa 551-600 ang USC at PUP, 701-750 ang FEU-Manila, at 801 ang MSU sa rankings.
“Philippine universities have carved out a strong reputation among international employers and display a strong international outlook. However, if they hope to enhance their academic reputation, focus needs to be placed on employing top tier faculty and investing in high quality, relevant research,” ayon kay Senior Vice President at QS na si Ben Sowter.
