Inihayag ni Col. Medel Aguilar, tagapagsalita ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), na handa na ang kanilang hanay na magsagawa ng evacuation ng mga Pinoy mula sa Israel gamit ang C-130 at C-295 aircraft.
“We have already identified Adana airport sa Turkey as a temporary safe haven. From there, we will be shuttling Filipinos who are affected by the conflict with the identification of the Ben Gurion airport, but all of these will only be executed based on the recommendation or the instruction coming from other government authorities,” pahayag ni Aguilar sa press briefing sa Malacanang.
Sinabi naman ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega na wala pa silang natatanggap na repatriation request mula sa mga Pinoy na nakabase sa Israel bagamat ginagamit nila ang “diplomatic approach” para makatawid ang mga ito sa mga border ng kalapit bansa.
“We have not repatriated them yet because as I have said yesterday po, naka-blockade ang Gaza at saka pati yung kanilang border both to Israel and to Egypt,” paliwanag ni de Vega.
