Kumpiyansa si Pangulong Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. na pasisiglahin ni dating Cavite governor Jonvic Remulla, 56-anyos, ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa pagsisimula ng kanyang panunungkulan bilang kalihim ng ahensiya nitong Martes, Oktubre 9.
“I do not have to spell out my marching orders to him because as a boot on the ground he knows what to do and how best to do it, the most important of which are keeping our people safe in their homes and making our local governments dynamic frontliners of service,” sabi ni Marcos.
“Clearly, Governor Jonvic is more than qualified to handle the challenges of one of the government’s most important jobs,” sabi ni Marcos sa ginanap na turnover ceremony sa Malacanang.

Ayon pa kay PBBM, ang pagiging progresibo ng Cavite, na pinamunuan ng mga Remulla ng halos 30 taon, ay patunay sa kanilang maayos at tapat na pamumuno sa lalawigan.
“In every position his people gifted him with overwhelming mandate for a job well done. He repaid the people’s trust with hard work and honest service,” pahayag ni Marcos.
