Inanunsiyo ng Office of the President (OP) ang suspensiyon ng trabaho sa lahat ng tanggapan ng gobyerno simula alas-3 ng hapon sa Lunes, Setyembre 23, 2024 upang mabigyan sila ng pakakataon na gunitain ang “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day.
“The suspension of work in other branches of government, independent commissions or bodies, and private sector is also encouraged, so as to afford all Filipino families the full opportunity to celebrate the 32nd National Family Week,” nakasaad sa Memorandum Circular No. 64.
Ito ay matapos lagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin ang Memorandum Circular No. 64 na nagbibigay halaga sa selebrasyon ng mga pamilyang Pinoy ng National Family Week at Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day sa Lunes, Setyembre 23.
“This Office also encourages all government workers in the Executive branch to fully support the programs and activities relative to the observance of Family Week, as organized by the National Committee on the Filipino Family,” ayon sa kautusan.
Noong 1992, inilabas ng Malacañang ang Proclamation No. 60 na nagdedeklara sa huling linggo ng Setyembre bilang “Family Week.”
Samantala, inisyu din ng Palasyo ang Proclamation No. 362 noong 2012 upang bigyang daan ang paggunita ng “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” day sa kada ikaapat na Lunes ng Setyembre.
