Hindi dapat magtipid sa seguridad ng Pangulo at iba pang opisyal ng pamahalaan, sabi ni House Deputy Majority Leader at ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo nang tanungin tungkol sa P20-milyon budget ng ikatlong State of the Nation Address (SONA) na gaganapin sa Hulyo 22, 2024.
Hindi maaaring ipagsaalang-alang ang kaligtasan ng mga opisyal at dignitaries na dadalo sa SONA, ani Tulfo.
Wala naman daw kinalaman sa birong “designated survivor” ni Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio ang paghihigpit sa seguridad.
“Nobody was discouraged to attend because of her remarks. And I have trust how the security [protocol] of Congress operates. The public has nothing to worry about,” aniya.
Dinetalye ng mambabatas ang mga gastusin na napapaloob sa nasabing budget: food and beverage; uniform ng dalawang libong Secretariat employees; security expenses; inter-agency coordination; invitation at giveaway; equipment rentals para sa LED walls; mga nakapasong halaman at bulaklak; at mga incidental expenses.
