Bumitaw na ang isa pang kandidato ng Miss Universe Philippines 2024 sa unang bahagi ng kompetisyon, na si Joanne Thornley na kumakatawan sa Angeles City sa ikalimang edisyon ng annual pageant.
Ibinahagi ni Gerry Diaz, pinuno ng Aces and Queens pageant camp na nagsanay sa Kapampangan bet, sa kanyang Instagram account na opisyal nang kakalas si Thornley sa 2024 pageant.
“The Miss Universe Philippines Angeles City has announced the decision of Joanne Thornley to withdraw from the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. Joanne has faced health challenges which prevented her from attending earlier activities. These health concerns required her to prioritize her well-being above all else,” sabi pa ni Gerry.
“Joanne likewise expressed her gratitude to Angeleños and all supporters for all the love and encouragement she received while representing her beloved Angeles City in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant,” ani pa ni Gerry.
