Tinanggal ng social media platform na ‘TikTok’ ang mahigit 3.8 milyon videos sa Pilipinas simula noong Hulyo hanggang Setyembre 2023, matapos ang community guidelines violations.
“We use a combination of technology and moderation to identify and review potentially problematic content, with penalties including removing videos and banning accounts for Community Guidelines violations,” ayon sa statement ng TikTok.
Sinabi ng platform na 98 porsiyento ng mga video ay ‘proactively removed’, 87 porsiyento ay ‘removed before any views’, at 95 porsiyento ay ‘removed within 24 hours.’
“TikTok ensures that its policies align with local and global best practices and fosters diversity and inclusivity within a secure and positive digital space,” sabi pa ng platform.
Sinabi ng TikTok na gumagamit ito ng proactive approach sa paggawa ng Community Guidelines, na available sa English at Filipino, na umaangkop sa evolving digital landscape habang nakikitungo sa emerging safety concerns.
Idinagdag nito na mayroon itong patuloy na consolation sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno, diversity experts, non-government organizations (NGOs), gayundin sa ilang mga teenager sa paggawa ng mga guidelines nito.
