Nasakote ng composite team ng PNP sa Isabela City, Basilan ang tinaguriang Most Wanted Person ng Zamboanga Peninsula na itinuturong nagpopondo at nagbibigay ng armas sa Al-Qaeda at ISIS terrorist groups.

Kinilala ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. ang naarestong suspek na si Norkisa Omar Ibno, 32, admin staff ng Attaqwa Islamic Institute Inc.

Naaresto si Ibno sab isa ng warrant of arrest na inilabas ng Zamboanga City Regional Trial Court dahil sa umano’y paglabag sa Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012 at Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.

“NORKISA OMAR IBNO is reportedly one of the cohorts and associates of MYRNA AJIJUL MABANZA listed as being in association with ISIL or Al-Qaeda for participating in the financing, planning, facilitating, preparing, supporting, supplying, selling, and transferring arms and other related materials to Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), listed as Al-Qaeda in Iraq,” ayon kay Maj. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr., director ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

Si Ibno ay dinampot ng pulisya sa Sitio Bliss, Barangay Lanote, Isabela City, Basilan noong Disyembre 24, ayon kay Caramat.
