Umaabot sa P3,733,668,419 ang inilaan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) para sa Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) ng 220,116 pulis para sa Fiscal Year 2021.
Sa pahayag ng Philippine National Police (PNP), ang naturang halaga ay idineposito na sa payroll ng kanilang mga tauhan.
Pinasalamatan naman ni PNP chief Gen. Benjamin C Acorda Jr. ang DBM sa paglalabas ng pondo para sa PBB ng mga pulis.
“The PNP is thankful to the government for acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the police force in carrying out our assigned duties and responsibilities,” pahayag ni Acorda.
Tiniyak din ng PNP Chief na kanila pang pagbubutihin ang kanilang paglilingkod sa publiko. “We can only repay this recognition through improved performance and a deeper commitment to service,” ayon kay Acorda.
Sinabi naman ni Brig. Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil ng PNP Director for Comptrollership, magkakaroon ng tax deduction ang suweldo ng mga pulis na may ranggong major general hanggang general gayundin ang nasa salary grade 20 bilang pagtugon sa TRAIN Law.
“The funds have been processed by the Directorate for Comptrollership and PNP Finance Service and have been credited to the individual ATM payroll accounts of PNP personnel,” pahayag ni Marbil.
