Pinaalalahanan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang mga motorista simula ngayong Biyernes, Agosto 4, ng gabi, halos isang linggong road repair work sa ilang bahagi ng EDSA ang ipatutupad na pinangangambahang magdulot ng matinding trapiko.
Ayon sa Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), magsasagawa ang asphalt overlay at reblocking operations sa 15 lugar sa EDSA mula alas-10 ng gabi ng Agosto 4 hanggang alas-5 ng umaga ng Agosto 9.
“I hope that the weather will continue improving para makapag-repair naman kami ng mga potholes caused by yung inundation ngayon, lalong-lalo na sa mga main highways natin,” saad ni DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan.
Tinitingnan ng DPWH ang “a more permanent solution” para ayusin ang mga nasakbak na kalsada sa EDSA sa susunod na taon.
