Iginiit ni House Committee on Public Accounts chairperson at Bicol Saro Rep. Terry Ridon na wala umanong sasantuhin ang House Infrastructure Committee sa imbestigasyon kaugnay ng mga umano’y maanomalyang flood control projects.
“Hindi mahalaga kung sinuman ang sangkot sa mga proyekto, kung mataas na opisyal man ng gobyerno ‘yan, kontratista man ‘yan, o kongresista o senador man ‘yan, kung ghost, substandard o overpriced ang proyekto, sisiyasatin ng komite ‘yan,” sabi ni Ridon.
“We have copies of all relevant documents to build the cases against officials of the DPWH 1st District Engineering Office and the private contractor, SYMS Construction Trading, all of whom are involved in the P55-million Baliuag ghost project,” aniya.
Aniya, mismong si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang nag-flag sa tatlong flood control projects sa Bulacan—isa umano ang ghost project at dalawa ang substandard.
“Hindi mahalaga kung saan ipinatupad ang proyekto… kung ghost, substandard o overpriced ang proyekto, sisiyasatin ng komite ‘yan,” saad ng kongresista.
