Nasa full alert status ang PNP sa Mindanao habang naka-heightened alert naman sa Metro Manila kasunod ng pambobomba sa Mindanao State University sa Marawi City, Lanao del Sur ngayong Linggo, Disyembre 3, na ikinasawi ng apat na katao.
“This decision is part of our strategy to enhance readiness and response capabilities in order to address any potential threats or untoward incidents,” sinabi ni P/Col. Jean Fajardo, public information officer ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
“To reassure the public and deter criminal elements, the NCRPO is on heightened alert with increased police visibility across the region,” dagdag ni Fajardo. “We are intensifying efforts through the deployment of patrols and checkpoints in strategic locations.”
