Ipinaabot ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang taos-pusong pakikiramay ng Pilipinas sa India kaugnay ng trahedyang pagbagsak ng Air India Flight AI-171, bilang pakikiisa sa dasal at pagdadalamhati ng buong bayan para sa mga nasawi at kanilang mga mahal sa buhay na naiwan.
“Our thoughts are with every family, across India and beyond, grieving this profound loss. We stand in full solidarity with the people of India in this moment of sorrow,” sabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Ayon sa ulat ng CNN International, sinabi ng Air India na may sakay na 242 indibidwal ang flight AI171 nang ito ay bumagsak ilang minuto lamang matapos itong mag-take off sa Ahmedabad airport.
Nakunan ng video ang pag-take off ng flight AI171 bago ito bumagsak at sumabog sa BJ Medical College and Hospital hostel nitong Biyernes, Hunyo 13 ng umaga.
“On behalf of the Filipino people, I extend our most heartfelt condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India, and especially to the families and loved ones of all those who lost their lives,” pahayag ni Marcos.
