Hinikayat ng isang malaking organisasyon ng mga manggagawa si former Vice President Leni Robredo na puntiryahin ang Senado sa May 2025 midterm elections sa halip na tumakbo sa pagkaalkalde ng Naga City.
“The nation and the common good need more women representation in the Senate to ensure that diverse perspectives are included in the decision-making process at the highest level of government,” sabi ni Federation of Free Workers President Atty. Sonny Matula.
“Robredo’s integrity and distinguished leadership as Vice President, along with her prior experience as a legislator in the House of Representatives, make her exceptionally qualified for the Senate,” sabi ni Matula.
“Her track record demonstrates a deep commitment to advocating for women, workers, and marginalized communities. Her presence in the Senate would bring these critical issues to the forefront of national governance,” ani Matula.
Ito ay bilang reaksiyon sa inihayag ni Albay 1st District Edcel Lagman na tatakbo si Robredo sa pagka-alkalde ng Naga City sa May 2025 polls.
