Naghain ng resolusyon si Senator Robin Padilla na humihiling sa Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs na imbestigahan ang umano’y “excessive force” na ginamit ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pagsalakay nito sa Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound sa Davao City noong Hulyo.

Inihain ni Sen. Robin Padilla ngayong Martes, Hunyo 18 ang Senate Resolution 1051, na humihiling sa nasabing komite na imbestigahan ang “in aid of legislation” kung mayroong “unnecessary and excessive force” sa operasyon.

“There is a need for the PNP to promote and protect human rights because these very acts are vital to the maintenance of public order, guarantee of public safety, and respect for the rule of law,” ani Padilla.

“Records bear several instances in the past when the PNP was called out for its use of excessive force in the service of its warrants,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas.

Nahaharap si Quiboloy a sa mga kasong child prostitution, sexual abuse, at iba pang mga acts of neglect, abuse, cruelty o exploitation at iba pang conditions prejudicial sa child’s development.

Samantala, binanggit ni Padilla na “several instances in the past when the PNP was called out for its use of excessive force in the service of its warrants.”
