Sinabi ni Senator Risa Hontiveros ngayong Martes, Hunyo 4 na dapat imbestigahan si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil sa umano’y utos nitong ilipat ang P47.6 bilyon na pondo para sa Covid-19 supplies ng Department of Health sa Procurement Service ng Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM).
“Since Duque made this statement under oath, former President Duterte should be included in the investigation, especially since it can be proven that he was introduced to Pharmally officials by Michael Yang, his special adviser, in 2017,” sabi ni Hontiveros.
Ipinunto ito ni Hontiveros makaraang ibinunyag ni dating Health Secretary Francisco Duque III sa harap ng oversight hearing ng House Committee on Appropriations na iniutos ni Duterte ang paglipat para sa pagbili ng Covid-19 supplies sa 2020.
“Duterte should, at the very least, explain the policy considerations that resulted in his directive to Sec. Duque,” dagdag ni Hontiveros.
