Ibinunyag ni Sen. JV Ejercito na inalok siya ni Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano na maging Senate Majority Leader, ngunit kaniya itong tinanggihan.
“I thank Mr. [Senate] President for the trust and confidence. I was offered to become Majority Leader, but as of this time, I would rather remain independent,” ani Sen. JV.
Samantala, inihanay naman ni Ejercito ang kanyang sarili sa minority bloc sa gitna ng pag-convene ng Senado bilang impeachment court laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
“For now, I’ll be with the minority. But then I would like to thank you for the respect, we will still all be friends no matter what,” saad pa ni Ejercito.
