Umabot sa 252 infrastructure projects ang natukoy na “ghost projects” sa bansa simula 2016 hanggang ngayong taon, ayon sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
“It turned out that the total of around 252 of these na naiikot na po namin (that we inspected) are ghost projects from 2016 to present,” sinabi ni AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla.
Sa isinagawang press briefing ngayong Martes, Disyembre 2, inihayag ni AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla, nadiskubre ang mga nakatenggang proyekto sa iba’t ibang rehiyon matapos ang isinagawang inspeksyon ng AFP kasama ang Philippine National Police (PNP).
Dagdag pa niya, isinusumite ng AFP at PNP ang kumpletong ulat mula sa mga inspeksyon sa Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), na inatasang magsiyasat sa mga kuwestiyunableng proyekto.
Inatasan naman ang AFP at PNP na magsagawa ng inspeksyon sa mga infrastructure project upang mapabilis ang imbestigasyon sa posibleng katiwalian.
“There were 30,000 projects that were deemed for the AFP and the PNP collectively to inspect. From these 30,000 projects, 10,000 na po ‘yung ating na-inspect from the side of the AFP,” ani Padilla.
