Sa pagpapatuloy ng pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee noong Martes, Setyembre 23, sinabi ni Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na naghain na ng reklamong indirect bribery at malversation of public funds ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa DOJ Prosecutors Office laban kina Senators Jinggoy Estrada at Joel Villanueva, at tatlong iba pang personalidad na idinawit sa multi-bilyong pisong anomalya sa flood control projects.
“We determined that the NBI will be investigating it. And in the outset, they recommended the filing of charges already,” pahayag ni Remulla.
“At the same time, we contacted the AMLC (Anti-Money Laundering Council), and we gave them a digital file of this (documents and pieces of evidence) and they started acting on this,” ani Remulla.
“Given that, the freeze orders have been issued by the AMLC,” giit niya.
