Hiniling ng prosekusyon sa Pre-Trial Chamber I ng International Criminal Court (ICC) na tangggihan nito ang request ng defense team ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magkaroon ng “indefinite adjournment” sa mga proceedings sa kaso ni Digong.
“The Prosecution respectfully requests the Chamber to… reject the Defence Request to adjourn indefinitely all legal proceedings against Mr Duterte,” saad ng ICC Office of the Prosecutor.
Ayon sa prosekusyon, hindi puwede mag-“adjourn indefinitely” ang mga case proceedings sa kaso ni Digong dahil lamang sa mga “(the “Defence Reports”)” na tungkol sa “[REDACTED]” at sa mga ulat ng “[REDACTED] (the “Defence Experts”)”.
“The Prosecution is in the process of engaging its own expert(s) (the “Prosecution Expert”) to assist in determining Mr Duterte’s fitness to participate in the pre-trial proceedings and to stand trial,” saad ng prosekusyon sa kanilang isinumiteng dokumento na may petsang Setyembre 11, 2025.
Inilista rin ng prosekusyon ang mga ebidensya na dapat gamitin ng mga ICC judges sa pagdedesisyon hinggil sa kalagayan ni Digong kung dapat ba itong makibahagi sa pre-trial proceedings: “…based on the [REDACTED], the 23 June 2025 medical report of the ICC Detention Centre (“ICCDC Report”), the reports of the Defence Experts, the Prosecution Expert, and the evidence of any other experts that the Chamber may, in its discretion, decide to appoint.”
