Isang “badge of honor” para kay former senator Francis Tolentino ang ipinataw na sanction ng China sa kanya ngayong Martes, Hulyo 1, kung saan bawal na siyang pumasok sa mainland China, Hong Kong, at Macao dahil sa binibitiwan niya umanong “malicious remarks and moves on issues related to China.”
“I have fought – and will continue to fight – for what rightfully belongs to our nation,” paninindigan ni Tolentino tungkol sa pagbabawal sa kanya na pumasok sa mainland China, Hong Kong, at Macao.
“China decides to impose sanctions on former Philippines senator Francis Tolentino for his egregious conduct on China-related issues,” pahayag ng Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“I acknowledge the sanctions imposed on me by China for defending the rights, dignity, and sovereignty of the Filipino people in the West Philippine Sea,” reaksiyon ni Tolentino.
“This sanction is a badge of honor and a testament to my unwavering commitment to protect our national interest and our people’s dignity… I am, and will always be, proud to be a Filipino,” giit pa ni Tolentino.
