Iminungkahi ni Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson na isagawa ang pagdinig ng Senado kaugnay ng impeachment complaints laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte tuwing Lunes, Miyerkules, at Biyernes (MWF), simula alas-3 ng hapon upang hindi maantala ang iba pang gawain ng lehislatura.
“The mornings can be used for committee hearings so the Senate’s legislative work will not be imperiled,” ayon kay Lacson.
Paliwanag ng senador, inirekomenda niya ang nasabing schedule kay Senate President Vicente Sotto III habang nagpapatuloy ang impeachment proceedings laban kay VP Sara sa Kamara de Representantes, kung saan nagbigay ng testimonya ang self-confessed bagman na si Ramil Madriaga.
Sinabi rin ni Lacson na makatutulong ang ganitong setup upang hindi ma-“paralyze” ang Senado at magkaroon ng sapat na oras ang mga senador na repasuhin ang parehong impeachment at mga panukalang batas.
