Mariing kinondena ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang umano’y welfare check na isinagawa ng mga opisyal ng Philippine Embassy sa The Hague kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kasalukuyang nasa detention center ng International Criminal Court (ICC).
“The officials entered the detention unit under the false pretense of conducting a ‘welfare check’ and interviewed FPRRD. The said officials clearly abused the rule of the detention unit concerning consular visits,” pahayag ni VP Sara noong Miyerkules, Setyembre 24.
Idinagdag pa niya na inilagay umano ng ICC sa “imminent danger” ang buhay ni Digong sa pagbibigay nito ng permiso sa mga agents ng embahada na pumasok sa detention facility nang walang permiso mula sa kanila.
“FPRRD does not need you, our family will take care of him,” pagpapatuloy ni VP Sara sa kanyang pahayag.
